Designers: Clear the clutter and recycle your unwanted design materials! Your unwanted design related materials will be donated to students and teachers who can enjoy and use them.
Here's a few ideas for items to recycle: Print magazine, Communication Arts, HOW magazine, paper samples, drawing utensils, or art supplies. Any useful art or design related items are welcome.
Drop off items during normal business hours at The Art Store, located at 801 73rd St., Windsor Heights, through September 17, 2009. The Art Store Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 7 pm, Saturday, 9 am to 5:00 pm, Sunday, 12 pm to 4 pm.
To thank you for your contribution, complete a registration form at The Art Store. You'll have a chance to win two tickets (a $20 value!) to the Value of Design, a networking lunch to be held on Tuesday, October 20, as part of AIGA Iowa Design Week.
Students and teachers: You're invited to pick up items at The Art Store on Saturday, September 19, from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, September 20, from 12 pm to 4 pm.
The selection includes old art and design annuals, paper samples, books and magazines, a huge assortment of binders, a mannequin and more. Items are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You are free to take whatever you can use.
